WHAT IS IT?
An AMI Montessori secondary school is a ‘teenage community’ (aged 12-18) that enables teenagers to experience the world through concrete experiences.
To do so, teenagers
WHERE and WHEN?
Les Loupiots school has been welcoming children aged 3 to 12 since 2017.
On 2 September 2021, the first ‘teenage community’ moved into the current premises. Since September 2025, they now have a 80 square meters building for their own where they have classrooms, workshop and private garden. The whole building has been brought up to standard. The 2-hectare market-garden farm has been going from strength to strength for the past 7 years. The bed and breakfast is already up and running.
Adolescents lack something that is essential to the practice of pedagogy : their home. So we're going to build it with them, on the school site. In the meantime, they will return home every evening.
We're looking for funds to help us build the building - each euro counts!
Directors and co-founders of the school :
Yann et Audrey MEILLAN, certified Montessori AMI School Directors and Assistants Montessori Grads 3-6 years old AMI from the Maria Montessori Higher Institute (ISMM — Nogent sur Marne). They both have done the training "12-18 Orientation" AMI organised by the Montessori Center for Work and Study in Sweden.
Educators (or "Guide" in Montessorian words) :
Renaud, school teacher, bilingual AMI guide graduated from the Maria Montessori Superior Institute for children from 3 to 6 years old and Montessori guide for children from 6 to 12 years old. Guide for 12-18 year old who have followed the Montessori 12-18 AMI Orientation at the Montessori Center for Work and Study in Rydet (Sweden). He has also been trained in this same center to obtain the very rare 12-18 AMI guide diploma's (because there are only two training centers in the World validated by the AMI).
